About Us

“SUARA brings together six voices, six personalities and one shared musical identity.”

Founded in 2024 in the Three Borders region, SUARA brings together six friends driven by a shared passion for music.

Together, five singers and a beatboxer bring modern pop music to life using nothing but the human voice. Through carefully crafted arrangements, rich harmonies and expressive performances, SUARA showcases the versatility and emotional power of modern a cappella.

The name SUARA, which means “voice” in Indonesian, reflects the group's musical philosophy: authentic, expressive and naturally united by music.

The Members

Photo of Cyril

A former osteopath turned web developer, I swapped analyzing the human body for analyzing code, but music remains my true compass. I started piano as a child before teaching myself guitar, but in the end it was singing that won me over. After spending five years exploring jazz harmonies in a choir, I now lend my baritone voice to Suara, still guided by my love of pop and my boundless admiration for Freddie Mercury. And when I'm not behind a screen or a microphone, I'm secretly working on my wildest project yet: starting a rock band with my three kids!

Born in Germany and raised in France, Fabian has been honing his beatboxing skills since 2017 with the A Cappella Pop Choir (ACPC) in Zug. As the founder of Suara, he is always looking for new ideas and keeps pushing the group forward. When he's not beatboxing, you'll find him with a guitar or a piano in his hands… or secretly singing in the shower.

Officially Suara's mezzo-soprano, but in practice you'll often find her singing alto, soprano or whichever other part the group needs at the moment! Rebecca discovered the world of a cappella with the Choriosity choir in Ulm, Germany, and now sings with the A Cappella Pop Choir (ACPC) in Zug, Switzerland. As for whether she has a golden voice, that's for you to judge. One thing is certain, though: she definitely has a green thumb. Maybe her plants thrive so well because they get front-row seats at Suara's rehearsals?

Born in Indonesia, Mimi joined her first choir in high school and has never left one since. Over the years she has explored many musical styles, including several years as the pianist of a blues band in Chambéry, collecting songs the way others collect memories. Today she sings with Suara and is also a member of the jazz choir Blue Note Singers. From pop and blues melodies to jazz harmonies, she loves discovering how music brings people together across cultures and generations. One thing is certain: she approaches music the same way as a good meal – it's always better when shared.

Her musical journey began at the age of 7, inspired by her guitar teacher, who encouraged her to discover the joy of singing through the songs of Mani Matter. Today she loves the energy of pop and rock, with a soft spot for a touch of country. As SUARA's alto, she feels particularly at home in the lower harmonies, but loves just as much to bring power and passion when the music calls for it. Always ready to step out of her comfort zone, she enjoys taking on new musical challenges.

Rémy, the bass who wanted to be a tenor! Inspired by musical worlds such as symphonic metal, rock, pop and electro, he always wanted to sing along to his favorite artists' songs… who unfortunately had a much higher range than his! It was at an ACPC concert that he discovered the a cappella scene and realized that singing bass and carrying the group's rhythm actually suited him much better. Even so, Rémy never turns down a good challenge to reach for that high note and pour all his emotion into it!
